Ok then, you don't like to lie on the beach?  Well it is not for everyone.  Ideally you can have the same comforts of the Caribbean on a Caribbean Cruise by eliminating the beaches and opting for gorgeous refreshing swimming pools, saunas, elegant Spa Treatments and Massages.  Comfort and luxury with traditional dining, buffet or light snacks.  Anyone for shuffle board or Grand Prix Virtual Realty Auto Racing?  You can't beat the star attractions a cruise has to offer, especially when you travel with Costa, Celebrity, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Silverseas...

Yes a Cruise is exactly what you want but not in the Caribbean?  Well, then sit back and enjoy a Western - Eastern - Northern European Cruise through these same famous Cruise Ships.   You can also enjoy an European River Boat Cruise and travel along the mysterious and fresh rivers of the Rhine connecting from River to River  throughout Europe.  Ideally you need some travel time.  I suggest at least the 7day Eastern or Western European Cruise.  Oh and I almost forgot Dubai is now on the platform of cruises plus Egypt and the middle East.  Venture into another exciting country for a experience of a lifetime.  Well if you are a physical fitness buff then you will just have to bike it!  You will be absolutely amazed at the many bike tours around Europe.  You know the Europeans, it is only the North Americans who tend to drive more.  The scenery on a bike tour will shock you not to mention the exercise you will get.

Trip Report - Feb 2007

GRAND PALLADIUM PALACE - PUNTA CANA 

This resort has a fantastic 3 in 1 arrangement because there are 3 Resorts right next to one another. The other 2 are the Grand Palladium Bavaro and Punta Cana.  A small train will take you anywhere you want to go.  There is a Casino on the Resort steps from your room.  The rooms are gorgeous. They have king size beds and a romantic jacuzzi tub right in the living room.  Everything was immaculate and the staff were extremely pleasant.  The Palace is close to the beach and there are at least 6 Restaurants plus buffets.  If you get hungry and don't want to leave the beach, there are several Beach Front Restaurants.  Swim up 'Bars and several pools around the resort add to the fun plus a fantastic declicious 24 hour sports cafe.   If you miss our North American liguor you can find your full supply at the Montana Bar.  It is a little bit of a secret but now its not!  Enjoy!

LAGUNA  

CAYO COCO - CUBA 

It will be a while before we can duplicate this amazing resort.  The Laguna is exactly what you hear.  It is surround by a lagoon with a man-made walkway bridge leading to the beach.  There are even some restaurants built in the lagoon with the same type of pathway plus a private cigar lounge and pool room.  Our room was a chalet style with solid wood vaulted ceilings and a sunken living room having a walk-out balcony overlooking the lagoon.  It offers so much tranquility and gives you the unique mixed feeling of a chalet in the mountains.  Is it a dream, no shake your head and you realize you are only a small walk away from a gorgeous white sandy beach.  If you love to stroll along the beach, this resort is for you and if you are a camera buff, bring it along.  You will capture some breathtaking pictures all hours of the day especially if you decide to take a horse back ride along the beach or rent a moped to travel around the island safe and sound - anywhere you like but just make sure you are back for the entertainment because you definitely won't want to miss it.

SANDALS GRAND OCHO RIOS  JAMAICA  

Absolutely gorgeous, you can't beat Jamaica.

Luxury at its best!  Here is your vision as you arrive at the Sandals Riviera, with a hand extended by the Door Man to assist you for your check-in.  An ice-chilled face cloth and glass of champagne to welcome your arrival.  Extensive presentation of luxurious added features to start your romantic all inclusive vacation.  All tips included in your stay so there is never a need to worry about it.  The porter takes your luggage to your beautiful sun-filled room with king size bed, unbelievably stocked refrigerator with a lighted buffet of  North American Brand Liguors, Champagne, Red and White Wine and all the beer you can drink.  The peace de resistance when you open your garden doors to the balcony and feast your eyes on a breathtaking ocean front view and relaxing beach.  If you don't want to rush for dinner, don't worry about it.  This resort offers all day every day no reservation intimate dinners at any restaurant of your choice.  There are no limits and the entertainment is the true breath of the Caribbean because as the Jamaicans would say "No Problem" " Ya Man" come again.

CONSTANT CHANGES in the Travel Industry 

There is always different times of the year you really should consider when you travel.  In North American it is common for people to prefer going to All Inclusive resorts in the colder months of the year  example. November, December, January, February, March.... however the past  dictates that the busy time is also March break and Christmas considering family schedules and the holiday season.  March break is a huge hit for students so if you don't want to be on the beach with the younger crowd - don't go to any beach resort on March Break. 

Sometimes you have to book that vacation because your company tells you that you can't carry any more vacation time over to the next year.  You have accumulated too many weeks.  They say "Use it or Lose it".   That's tough and when this happens it is a mad rush to book that vacation and make sure that either the family comes too or special arrangements.  Now who is going to look after the family pet.  

TAKING A CRUISE MAY BE YOUR CHOICE 

There are a number of cruise ships offering you 3 - 15 - 21 day packages.   You can easily click off Cruises on www.p3travel.ca and start researching the different ports so you can begin to understand what interests you the most.  Many people don't want to rent a car to travel around Europe because they realize that the travel time and cost to stay in different hotels plus meal tickets may be far more expensive then visiting these countries and enjoying the additional amenities you would normally have on an all inclusive resort.  

It really gives you the best of both worlds because you travel as you sleep and don't lose any precious time in the daytime to explore and enjoy the many countries of our wonderful world.

If you are not visiting relatives and only have a limited amount of time - I would highly recommend considering a Cruise.
